Worship & Music

Grace Church Sanctuary Choir welcomes singers from young adult upwards! This mixed voice choral ensemble sings each Sunday morning from September through May, and includes a Celebration of Lives service around All Saints Day, a Service of Lesson and Carols in December and other concerts throughout the year. The repertoire is very diverse and incorporates fun and challenging music of all styles and eras. Worship is at the heart of the choir, which enjoys inspirational music alongside time of enriching fellowship.

Rehearsals are on Wednesday evenings from 6 to 8 pm in the Choir Room.  

On Sunday mornings, we rehearse in the Sanctuary at 9 am for the 10 am service.

Choristers aged K-6 grade are encouraged to participate in the Children’s Choir, a fun and exciting ensemble.

Children’s Choir offers songs at 10 am Sunday worship services throughout the year. The choir also performs at the annual Spark of Creation Youth Concert in March and the Christmas Pageant Service in December.

The Grace Church Handbell Choir is a group of dedicated and enthusiastic ringers who share their musical ministry once a month during the choir season (September to May). The handbell choir also offers concerts throughout the year.

The Grace Church Handbell Choir is comprised of 5 octaves of Schulmerich Bells, Malmark Chimes and tubular bells.  This choir is a great way for ‘non-singers’ to enjoy making music together!

Rehearsals are Monday evenings from 6:30 to 8 pm

We have two small chamber ensembles that offer their songs when they are prepared, approximately once a quarter.

The Rutland Area Chorus (RAC) is a large community choir that meets in December and May in the Grace Church Sanctuary to offer major choral works accompanied by an orchestra of professional musicians from the surrounding area. The RAC is known for its annual performance in Advent of Handel’s Messiah.
