Rutland Area Chorus

The Rutland Area Chorus (RAC) is a large community choir that meets in December and May in Grace UCC’s Sanctuary to offer major choral works accompanied by an orchestra of professional musicians from the surrounding area. The RAC is known for its annual performance in Advent of Handel’s Messiah.

The RAC has recently performed requiems by Mozart and Fauré and works by Charles Wood and Henry Purcell and John Rutter. Future performances include, Carmina Burana by Carl Orff and Roy Harrison’s Fourth Symphony.

In December, 2019, the RAC will give the premiere performance of the winning entry in the first ever Grace Church Composition Competition. This will be an annual event, and an exciting addition in the 68 year history of the RAC.

Rehearsals are located in the Fellowship Hall at Grace UCC.  Elevator access is available.  Rehearsal run from 2-4:00pm each Sunday afternoon approximately a month to 6 weeks prior to the performance.
