I’m New

Our facility is handicap accessible.

Address: 8 Court St., Rutland, VT 05701.

We are located on the corner of Court and West.  For parking, enter our lot from West Street.   Street parking is also available on Court and Center Street.

The handicap entrance may be accessed through the north side portico of Grace Church via the West Street parking lot.  The elevator is located in the central part of the building.

Our service times are listed below, however we recommend arriving 20 to 30 mins early to allow time to find a parking spot and a seat in either the Dean Chapel or Sanctuary.

Prelude music begins around 8:15 am with Welcome and Announcements around 8:30 am.
  • Sanctuary Worship Service: (Approx. 10-11:15 am)
Prelude music begins around 9:50 am with Welcome and Announcements around 10 am.  The first Sunday of every month is Communion Sunday. These worship serves sometimes run a little bit longer. You are welcome to stay after the service for coffee and conversation.  We would love to get to know you.

During the summer months, we hold a few outdoor services, weather permitting.  These services are followed by cookout lunches that all are welcome to join.  Freewill donations are accepted.

Come as you are.  Our congregation members tend to dress smart casual, but we encourage you to dress in whatever way is most comfortable for you.

Is there a spot with a little more space during 10 am worship?
Yes, the Wiggle Corner in the southwest corner of the Sanctuary.  If you have someone with you who might need some quieter toys, a little table to color or just a pillow to sit on. Please feel free to borrow items during worship that will help your family peacefully enjoy their time here at Grace. Kindly return them at the end of the service.

Diaper Changing?
A diaper changing station is located in the handicap restroom just inside the West Street entrance.

Tell me about children’s Sunday School during the Sanctuary Service.
September through mid-June, Children from Kindergarten to 6th grade walk downstairs as a group to the Sunday School room after Children’s Time.  It is on the lower level in the Education Wing of our building.  There are restrooms nearby as well.  For Safety, our Sunday School leaders have a second adult helper and walkie-talkies that connect them to a staff member on duty as well as other volunteers.  Parents are welcome to join their children to check it out.

Children’s bulletins are also available at the West Street entrance if you would like your children to remain with you during the worship service.

Does Grace Church have a Toddler Room?
Yes, it is open on Sundays year-round from 9:45 to 11:15 am downstairs in the Education Wing.

Note: The Toddler Room is closed on Outdoor Service/Cookout Sundays.

The UCC believes that Christ extends the invitation to the communion table, and therefore, it should be open to all who desire to know Christ’s presence and share in the community of God’s people.

You are welcome to join our communion services that are held on the first Sunday of every month.

Home communion is also available.  Please contact a deacon or the church office if you are interested in having someone visit you.

Yes.  An offering is collected during the Invitation to a Life of Giving portion of the service.

Donations are always welcome. Envelopes and QR codes to our online giving are available in the pew racks if you wish to donate.
