Grace Church offers a variety of spaces to hold many different types
of events and gatherings, including weddings, funerals and memorial services,
special events, concerts, parties, and meetings.
Congratulations and Welcome!
We are honored to share this wonderful time with you.
Grace Church wants to provide the best possible service to its members and friends. We welcome the use of our facilities for your special day!
A wedding ceremony is one of the most sacred rites of the church. It is the desire of the Minister(s) and the church family to make every ceremony a beautiful and worshipful experience. We extend to each wedding party every possible courtesy and assistance.
“The ministers of Grace Church may, at their discretion, perform marriages, including same-sex for members or friends of Grace Church, in the Sanctuary or Chapel.” – Grace Church Council adopted January 28, 2010
The Minister(s) of Grace Congregational Church shall be in charge and officiate at all marriages in the church. The couple must confirm that the ceremony is scheduled on the church’s master calendar with the preferred Minister as far in advance of the ceremony as possible. These must be confirmed before any announcements are made or invitations printed.
The Minister will provide an opportunity for more extensive counseling at a mutually agreeable date at least two months in advance of the wedding date. Please contact us to make an appointment with the Minister in charge of your wedding.
You may request the participation of another clergy person. This request must be granted by the Deacon Board of the Church. A Grace Church Minister must always participate in any wedding held in the church building at his or her discretion.
We would love to work with your event planner if you have one.
If you do not have one, we will provide a Wedding Advisor to help coordinate logistics for the rehearsal and wedding ceremony. The fee for this service is $250.
It can be difficult when experiencing the loss of a loved one. Let us support you in celebrating and honoring their life with a funeral or memorial service. Depending on availability, our Minister(s) can hold a service on site in the Sanctuary or off site at a funeral home or graveside.
The Grace Church Memorial Garden, which is located on the south side of Grace Congregational United Church of Christ, was dedicated in 2001. The purpose of the garden is to “provide a dignified space for the final disposition of cremated remains of members of Grace Congregational United Church of Christ, and others, at the discretion of the clergy.”
Service: On-site services may be held in the Dean Chapel, Sanctuary or the Grace Church Memorial Garden. The Minister can assist you in determining the best location for your preferences and estimated attendance.
Reception: Depending on availability, receptions may be held in our Fellowship Hall or Parlor after your loved one’s service. Members of our Hospitality Committee offer punch, cookies, and coffee after each memorial. These receptions provide a wonderful opportunity for family members to share memories and to bond family ties.
All listed locations are fully accessible and served by accessible restrooms.
