Rehearsing for the 2019 Spring Concert with Grace Festival Brass.
The Rutland Area Chorus (RAC) is a large community choir that meets in December and May in Grace UCC’s Sanctuary to offer major choral works accompanied by an orchestra of professional musicians from the surrounding area. The RAC is known for its annual performance in Advent of Handel’s Messiah.
The RAC has recently performed requiems by Mozart and Fauré and works by Charles Wood and Henry Purcell and John Rutter. Future performances include, Carmina Burana by Carl Orff and Roy Harrison’s Fourth Symphony.
In December, 2019, the RAC gave the premiere performance of the winning entry in the first ever Grace Church Composition Competition.
Rehearsals are located in the Fellowship Hall at Grace UCC. Elevator access is available. Rehearsals run from 2-4:00pm each Sunday afternoon approximately a month to 6 weeks prior to the performance.

During this season of flu and viruses, we will continue to monitor events worldwide and follow all preventive procedures recommended by local, state, and federal authorities. While at Grace Church we are encouraging all singers to practice social distancing (sitting apart for rehearsals) and to follow the health measures outlined by the Centers for Disease Control, including thorough handwashing and use of hand sanitizers (which we have made available in the fellowship hall and rehearsal spaces). Please contact us for questions or concerns at 802-775-4301.
