Rutland Area Chorus

The Rutland Area Chorus will be presenting Handel’s Messiah on Dec. 14, 2025, at 3:30 p.m. and 7 pm. All are invited to sing in this wonderful annual celebration of the coming of the Messiah!

Rehearsal schedule

Regular Rehearsals (please attend at least five regular rehearsals as well as the mandatory dress rehearsal):

• Sunday, Nov. 23, 2 – 4 pm
• Sunday, Nov 30, 2 – 4 pm
• Sunday, Dec 7, 2 – 4 pm
• Tuesday, Dec. 9, 6 – 8 pm
• Mandatory Dress Rehearsal:  Saturday, Dec. 13, 12:45 – 2 pm

Concert: Sunday, Dec. 14, 2025,
3 pm Call; 3:30 pm and 7 pm concert

We encourage you to attend as many rehearsals as possible. Rehearsals are in the Fellowship Hall at Grace UCC.  Elevator access is available.  Scores are available for anyone to review before the first rehearsal.

Grace Congregational UCC in Rutland, Vermont, is pleased to announce its fourth Composition Competition to recognize and support a new work for large concert choir and classical chamber orchestra to be performed by the Rutland Area Chorus and orchestra in 2026.

The winning work will be awarded $1,000.00 (USD) and two performances by the Rutland Area Chorus on December 13, 2026, at Grace Congregational UCC. The winning composer is encouraged to attend the premiere of the composition. There is no stipend for travel but some housing arrangements may be available.
