Without your support, it wouldn’t be possible to make a positive impact in our community through spreading the Gospel and missions outreach.
Dear Grace Family,
The stewardship theme for 2026 is “Dreaming God’s Dream: No gift too small, No dream too big.”
All we have and all we are is God’s gift to us. How we use those gifts is our response to God. Giving begins with a willing mind, and each person prayerfully decides what proportion of their treasure is given to God’s work in the church.
God tells us that those who give bountifully will reap bountifully. And then he adds one of my favorite phrases, “God loves a cheerful giver.” For a successful pledge campaign, we need 100% member participation. Please fill out your pledge card and return it before November. Your pledges are the basis for next year’s budget, and the sooner we receive your pledge, the sooner the budget can be finalized. Thank you for your understanding.
(As you have heard, the per capita dues have increased this year to $17 per member. Please note “per capita dues” on the memo line of your check.)
We are asking that all pledge cards be returned on Stewardship Sunday — Oct. 26, 2025 or by early November at the latest. Your generous giving makes the work of Grace church possible. We humbly thank you for each and every gift.
~ Thank you, Stewardship Committee

How can I give to Grace Church?
You can support Grace through volunteering your time on a Sunday, joining one of our committees, or volunteering with one of our missions. Please review the Sunday bulletin, our weekly Grace Good News e-Newsletter, or the monthly Star Newsletter for lists of current needs and volunteer opportunities.
In addition, there are a variety of ways to give financially at Grace. At each worship service an offering is collected during the Invitation to a Life of Giving. We do not expect visitors to give, although donations are always welcome. Envelopes and QR codes to our online giving are available in the pew racks if you wish to donate.
If the plate comes to you – feel free to just pass it on.
You may mail your donation to:

The Legacy Funds are comprised of gifts and bequests made by or in memory of members or friends of Grace Church. The money that has been given to Grace over the years has been a continued blessing allowing the church to pay for unanticipated emergency and building expenses. In addition, an annual draw from the Fund supplements members’ annual pledges allowing Grace Church to continue missions locally and globally.
From our 1788 start, to the 1860 construction of our enthralling sanctuary, to being cherished as a home for sacred music in Rutland and valued for our many needed ministries in our local area and beyond, Grace is a bright beacon of faith and community.
The building that has become a community center housing twelve step recovery groups, music and theater, healing ministries, and of course worship and ceremony including weddings, baptisms, funerals, sacraments, and prayer groups — requires larger undertakings of upkeep and enhancement than our annual budget can assimilate.
A Capital Campaign is a normal part of the rhythm of a church’s generational life, and Grace needs one now to fund crucial brick-and-mortar projects.
Grace is led by a talented staff, has a dynamic music ministry, has strong mission goals and remains determined to maintain a sound physical structure. Our Church family will remain a caring committed core of members and friends, constantly reaching out and drawing in others. Together we have what we need to be faithful to our covenant and move joyfully into new challenges.
If you are interested in donating: Checks should be made payable to Grace Congregational UCC with 2024 Capital Campaign in the memo line. Please send separate checks for payments for your pledge and the capital campaign. For details for donations of stocks or IRA and other assets, talk to your financial advisor or contact the Church Office.
OCWM Basic support enables associations, conferences, the national setting, and some of our affiliated partners to continue providing the care and services that are vital to the United Church of Christ. OCWM Basic support is generally given at local churches, where the funds are then sent to their associations and conferences before being forwarded to the national offices in Cleveland. (Individual donors are encouraged to give through their local churches for Our Church’s Wider Mission Basic Support)
