Alastair Stout will give a short slide-show on Ely Cathedral where he was a chorister from 1985-1989. Ely Cathedral, nicknamed the ‘Ship of the Fens’ due to its imposing presence over the surrounding marshland, was founded in the 11th century in honor of St. Etheldreda. Alastair will give an overview of the building (one of the largest cathedrals in the U.K) its history and traditions, and will talk about his musical journey at the cathedral and how it shaped his life.
Ryan Mangan and Alastair Stout offer a vocal recital for Mother’s Day. The Grace Church Music Committee and Fortnightly are sponsoring an Afternoon Tea Take-Out to complement the recital. To order your Afternoon Tea ($10) please call the church office before May 1st.
