Sanctuary

Wear your traditional family garb and colors! We will give God thanks for families and traditions that help make us who we are; John Kirk, Trish Miller and the Sanctuary Choir lead the ministry of music.

Kirkin’ o’ the Tartans / Blessing of the Fabric
Kirkin’ o’ the Tartans is a Scottish-born blessing of fabrics carrying family symbolism (Kirk=church, Tartan=Scottish plaid pattern)

On Sunday, Feb. 8 at the 10 am service, we will pray over anything you want to bring to the service that is of a fabric or clothing nature!

** Bring warm clothes, new or gently used, to donate to people in need, and we will carry them to the front of the Sanctuary and leave them by the communion table. Or, bring prayer shawls or things you are knitting / crocheting / weaving, bring treasured clothing that has family or emotional or symbolic significance, and let’s pray over them for God to use them and us to warm and beautify and cover all of God’s people. Everyone is Scottish this February 8 at Grace, and everyone has something to bring for God’s blessing!
