Spring 2023 Intergenerational Family Outing

NOTE: Sorry, this event was postponed due to rainy weather. We will let you know when this event will be rescheduled.

Sunday April 23, 12pm – 2pm

Meet us at the Japanese Gardens in Hubbardton at noon on Sunday April 23rd. Pack a picnic lunch and bring camp chairs/blankets to sit and enjoy your lunch near the parking lot. Then enjoy a hike around the trails or just hang out and enjoy the company and views.

June 26, 2022 – Blessing of the Bikes

Join us for outdoor worship at 10 am this Sunday on the south lawn. The service will include a blessing of the bikes ceremony – arrive at the Center Street parking lot on anything with two wheels and receive a blessing for safe passage through the coming year. The summer pickup choir will offer music – come early and join in the music making (9 am rehearsal). A church picnic (burger & hotdogs, coleslaw and strawberry shortcake for $5) will follow the service at approximately 11:30.

Dec 23, 2020 – Children’s Advent Crafts via Zoom

The Children and Youth Ministry will have “Zoom Craft Time for Children” on Wednesday, December 23 at 4 p.m. They will make the luminaries to light the pathways for the drive-thru worship as well as other crafts.

Craft kits will be available for families to pick up at the West Street entrance on Monday, Dec. 14 from 8 am to 8 pm and Tuesday and Wednesday, Dec. 15 and 16, 8 am-3 pm. Look for the basket tagged “craft kits” to distinguish from the bin for the white gifts. To have the kits delivered back to Grace, call the office (775.4301).

Aug. 31 – Bethany Birches Camping Weekend

When: Labor Day Weekend, Aug. 31-Sept.3

Where: Bethany Birches, 2610 Lynds Hill Road, Plymouth, VT 05056

About:
Tents, pop-ups, and trailers are all welcome. There are rustic cabins for use, as well, if you do not have camping equipment. Come for one, two, or three nights or come just for the day on either Saturday or Sunday. There will be a potluck dinner on Saturday night and an outdoor worship on Sunday morning. Come and relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Come and be in fellowship with others. Come and have fun playing games and hiking!

Directions from Rutland:

  • Take it Rte. 4 East through Rutland and into Killington. In after a long straight-away you’ll see two general stores. Make a right onto 100 South.
  • Follow that for 6 or 7 miles.
  • Make a left onto 100A
  • Go 0.9 Miles and turn right onto Lynds Hill Rd.
  • Go 2.6 miles on the twisting, country road
    (You may think that you’re lost, but you aren’t!)
  • Bethany Birches Camp is on your right and is clearly marked. The cabin is on your right as you enter the parking lot.
